BRIEF INTRODUCTION

The department of traditional external therapy, International school of Mongolian medicine was re-established in September, 2020 and offers undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate trainings along with other departments of the school for the students of traditional medical doctor, traditional therapist and acupuncture doctor programs as well as carries out scientific research and performs professional clinical duties.

Timeline

  • In 1999, the Department of Traditional Medicine was expanded into School of Traditional Medicine with three departments
  • In 2014, School ofTraditional Medicine was dismissed due to MNUMS director’s order and titled as Institute of Mongolian medicine, School of Medicine.
  • In 2016, the Department of External Therapy was re-established under the name department of traditional medicine external therapy.

  • Innovative research project to experiment and produce "Demon syrup”, “Berbera gel” and cream “Shimt" based on traditional recipes.
